Moon Moon Playing for Take This

Posted by Deb on November 17, 2014

I think it's safe to say that Team Moon Moon has finally recovered from our 24 hour binge on video games.  When it's all said and done, we raised a total of $1,463  and the overall charity, Extra Life raised an incredible $5,623,106.  There are a lot of kids who's lives have been made just a tiny bit easier with these generous donations and we can't thank our supporters enough.

Since the inception of Team Moon Moon, we've talked about playing for other charities in the "off-season" as it were.  Busy schedules, random moving of the members and uncertainty kept us from doing this in 2013, but we are looking at 2015 to really get into this.  But, in between now and the new year, we are planning to play an 8 hour marathon for Take This, which is a non-profit built to reach out to gamers in distress to provide support and healing.  Because Take This is relatively new (they've only just received their non-profit status), we're very excited to be able to contribute something to them and hope that it'll help them reach more gamers in need.  Information about them can be found at takethis.org.

We're still working out when this will take place, but the idea is to do it in December, and of course broadcast the entire time.  We'd be delighted to have you play with us and hope that you can kick a little money towards another wonderful cause if possible.  More to come in the next weeks.
